When developing the SEND Local Offer website, we want to make sure that it meets the needs of parents and carers and children and young people who have a special educational need or disability. Therefore we are keen to hear feedback about any aspects of the website that could be improved.
In the light of this feedback, we will review the website and make changes as necessary. Please find below a list of feedback already received and what we have done in response to this:
The search function and layout of the whole website have been completely updated to make them easier to filter search results and also provide relevant information and advice alongside the directory entries.
In developing the new website, information and advice pages are being developed that will cover different conditions and can be found in a search.
As part of the local offer refresh all website content has been rewritten and displayed more clearly making it easier to read and understand.
The feedback button is now available on every page and is more visible than before, there is also a working group in the council picking up the feedback and making changes on an ongoing basis so the site continually improves.
The updated local offer has been updated to ensure it is fully responsive to all mobile devices.
All directory entries can now be shared straight from the website by text or by social media.
In the previous website, it could be hard to find relevant services. Searches sometimes produced unexpected results. In the light of this, for the new website a review has been carried out of how records are categorised. When a search has been done, the list of services returned will show the name and contact details to make it easier and quicker to review a list of results and decide which services to find out more information about. There are also more options to refine your search based on the feedback we have received.
You can use this form to register any query or complaint you may have about this website or any of the content within it. Simply fill in the details below and this will be sent directly to us to investigate. We will always try and respond within one working day.
